We are now in Eastertide, a period of fifty days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. This is considered a long period of celebration of the resurrection of Our Lord. The first eight days of Eastertide make the octave of Easter with each day being a solemnity, another, literal, Easter day.
