Grotto Work Continues in New Jersey

On July the eleventh, I posted about a grotto that was being built in the backyard of a home in New Jersey (see post here).

Today, there is an update on the project: the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that will be the central point of the grotto, has been power washed and sanded. Next, it will be painted. Apparently this is an old statue that needed these “refreshments” in order to withstand outdoor weather.

The picture (above), and in the body of the post, are of the ongoing project.

It will be lovely to see this through, so I will post more update as it progresses.

As for today, it is the twenty-fifth of the month, so I wish you all a peaceful and joyful Little Christmas.

“God rest you merry, Gentlemen,

Let nothing you dismay,

For Jesus Christ our Saviour

Was born upon this Day.

To save poor souls from Satan’s power,

Which long time had gone astray.

Which brings tidings of comfort and joy.” source

Merry Little Christmas!
