A fun tradition which you may enjoy taking up is the celebrating of Christmas on the twenty-fifth day of every month, making the twenty-fifth a Little Christmas. The Redemptorists keep this tradition in their order, see here:
The celebration of Little Christmas does not have to be a formal celebration, but a personal one, a remembering of the birth of Our Savior which is one of the joyous moments of Christendom. Children love such celebrations, and it helps them to grow in a deep love of the gift that is Our Savior, the Incarnate God, born in a manger so long ago.
