Pope St. Pius X Speaks on St. Charles Borromeo

Today, on the feast of St. Charles Borromeo (b. 1538- d. 1584), we encounter a gift from our Catholic ancestor, Pope St. Pius X (b. 1835- d. 1914).  On May 26, 1910, Pope Pius X wrote an encyclical on Cardinal Borromeo which is titled Editae Saepe.  In this encyclical, the great pontiff, Pius X, teaches and instructs. It is a golden document, and well worth taking a few minutes to read. It is an antidote to the Modernist heresy which has taken root in the Church. I tried to pick out a couple of prime quotes, but the entire document is too rich; the thoughts of Pius X are so meaty that I failed to find a few favorable quotes to highlight. Indeed, I would have to highlight the entire document if it were in book form!

So, without further ado, here is the full text of Editae Saepe.

St. Charles Borromeo, pray for us.

St. Pius X, pray for us.

May you have a good day.
